Ever since we started Cornelius in 2003,  we have been true to our very special and unique concept "meteorological menu".

We are inspired by the weather, the four seasons and the chefs daily mood in our menus.

No day is the same and this is what we love.

From our own herb garden we harvest the freshest herbs , from our lush sea field we pick seaweeds and in our own smokoven we smoke the best salmon.

In our 8 seawater tanks we keep diferent seafood like lobsters, crayfish, scallops , horse-mussels, thousands of oysters and everything else one might wish for.
 
In our wine cellar we stock thousands of wine bottles from all over the world.

The winecellar in built naturally in a cave in the mountains behind the restaurant.

Here we have natural cooling from the sea and constant high humidity.

This guarantees optimal conditions for long-term storing and maturation of wines .

All wines are carefully selected to match the kitchen and we can guarantee good food and wine pairings in all priceranges.
Well educated sommeliers happily takes you on a tour of the cellar hand help you choose your bottel of wine.

SHELLFISH LECTURES

Shellfish legend Alf Roald tells the story on how Cornelius got started. From Alf's grandfather, Cornelius, through a breakneck race in business, seasoned with lady stories and raw adventure and a good portion reckless courage.Samples of fresh shellfish will be served.

Price is 200,- and it takes about 45 minutes. 

Daily Boat to Cornelius Restaurant.
We have daily boat shuttle from the pier in Bergen out to Conelius, Monday to Saturday at 18.00. 

Reservation is mandatory.

 

We also customizes departures as needed for groups.
